Aftermarket Deck with Factory Nav?

Hello everyone, I am looking into buying a new G35 Coupe in place of my 04 350z. I have the new Kenwood DDX7017 indash DVD player. I would like to get a G35 with the factory NAV and have that screen along with the DDX7017 as my cd player/dvd player. Does anyone know if the factory NAV requires the factory head unit to be in place for it to work? If so, how can I get around it? Thanks in advance.

no, the navigation is an independent unit. the only thing that you will loose is the voice announcements.
