PAC + Sat + iPod
PAC + Sat + iPod
Ok, I have a couple questions.
1.) If i get The PAC AAI-NIS and hookup my iPod to it, will I then be able to buy the Factory satellite tuner and install it in the trunk and be able to switch between the two with the SAT button?
2.) If i decide to not go with the Factory SAT tuner (I already have a
Roady 2) and want to hookup the iPod + the Roady 2 will I be able to accomplish this with some form of splitter with the PAC?
3.) Has anyone had both the roady 2 ($50) and now the Factory SAT tuner and would say it's worth it to spend the 220 dollars on upgrading? I'm not terribly worried about steering wheel controls for it. I'm just wondering about sound quality and ease of use.
Thanks for your help guys,

The AAI-NIS claims you can't use any existing factory SAT tuners with it. When I installed mine, I had to remove the factory harness out of the radio to make room for the AAI-NIS. Fortunately the AAI-NIS comes with two aux inputs (aux 1 = sat1 and aux2 = sat2) so hooking up your roady, or any other aftermarket external sat reciever will work, you just won't be able to use your factory HU to control the SAT. It's a fair exchange imo.
1. no
2. yes, i think so, there are 2 inputs on the pac unit...like cup said.
3. check with "gspotter", i think he has the roady thing and likes it....especially if you don't care about steering control.
