'04 DD Conversion question

what up all.
haven't been on the forum in awhile and am somewhat confused. i heard that grubbs had the dd conversion kit so i went online and got the dd bracket, ac controller, dash trim piece and the coin pocket. my ride is the '04 coupe with standard radio and no premium package. did i buy parts that i don't need? and one last question: i don't seem to have a coin packet in my shipment....i do have one part that is about 4.5" long by about 7/8" high and its covered in felt....could this be what they are calling my coin pocket? i would think not...that the coin pocket would be single din size. but since there is no picture of the coin pocket on grubbs' site, i have no clue.

thanks for any clues you can provide.

I just did the conversion myself as well and I think you got everything you need. I did a double din install so the coin pocket may or may not fill in that extra din slot. But, I ordered the AC controller, finisher and bracket (so I didnt have to take my old radio out incase I have to reinstall.) Other than that though, you just need some screw drivers and your good to go.

You do not need the bracket.
I used a stock Nissan pocket for the extra din space. I too went with single din.

cannot tell from the pic.

the one I have looks like that, but has little slots so you can put three of four cd's in it.

That is close enough.

talked with grubbs today....what they sell as a coin holder is a little piece of k-rap that is supposed to cover the nav. hole (if you don't have navigation). they are currently lost as to what part i need to fill in the bottom 1/2 of the double din conversion kit if you install a single din deck.

The coin pocket is that cubby hole on top of the dash, ask for single din pocket...stereo shop can make peice of plastic or some sort to cover the lower din opening
