I've got a CodeAlarm TW-1... works great, but hard to find. It's a pretty complicated install, as you'll need to run a tach unlike most auto-starters on the G. Good luck with your hunt,

I put a Viper 800esp alarm. hooked up two output to the door locks to roll windows up and down, and another output for the trunk release. it was pretty hard finding all the wires though. used wiring diagram but some was wrong, probably cause the car is new. had to look for my own wiring.

My advice is to let the dealer do the installation. (I had them install an alarm, window tint and body moulldings) It may cost a little more, but it would be covered under the four year warranty.

I asked my contact at the dealership who they outsourced all the installs to... called him up directly and had it done outside the dealership. Cheaper, but still covered by the warranty b/c he was certified by them to do the install.

I have the Autopage RS-850lcd alarm/remote starter.

Installer said it was a bitch to install. Windows roll up with the fob, but to get them to roll down with the new fob would have been 80 bucks extra. The old fob can still roll them down though.

If you leave your car in gear and use an autostarter, you're gonna go through a l-o-t of garage doors. If you have a 6MT, leave it in N for the autostarter. A lot of installers refuse to put them on MTs simply because of the liability... it can be, and is done, but make sure you kick that habit!

There are one or two remote starters specifically designed for a MT, where they will not start unless your car is in neutral. However, they won't work in conjunction with your alarm. So yeah, Im screwed if I remote start my car while its in gear. But I never put it in gear when parking at home or at work, which is really when I need the remote start.

correct me if i am wrong but doesnt leavin the car in N make it a lot easier to steal? the jerks can just jack up the back end and tow your car away, right?

<hr></blockquote>

Correct me if I'm wrong but if the jerks jack up the back end, it will not matter if the car is in neutral or not. The rear wheels will not be on the ground...LOL
