LOC & line driver install ?

Is there enough room behind the stock head unit to install an LOC and line driver? Or is it better to install everything in the trunk? I plan on keeping the stock head unit.

Hmm, it doesn't make sense to hook up your LOC after the Blose amp. It should be a signal right after the head unit.

there is very little room for an LOC behind the HVAC unit. ITs already a rat's nest of wires and harness plugs back there. Its alot easier to place it in the trunk around the spare tire well under that piece of plastic the surrounds the spare tire and hides the stock Bose amp.

There actually is quite a bit of space behind the ash tray on the 05 6MT...

There are some LOC makers that say that you have to grab the signal right behind the HU.

Today we did a 2003.5 G35 Sedan and grabbed the signal at the Bose amp in the trunk and had no issues with getting it there. I recommend the Soundgate LOCPREA.

More in a new thread...

How many amps can you hook up to the LOCPREA? I have two amps I want to put into my coupe, and I'm not sure which LOC to use.

I installed my amp tonight with the LOC. I connected the R+ , R-, L+ , L- to the speaker wires L and R and for some reason I am missing bass frequencies on songs, maybe it is the amp tuning lol , also my amp stays on when i shut the car off , pain in the *** , anyone know a easy way to rig the remote wire? was the install performed correctly? is the amp tuning the reason for me missing frequencies? I grounded near back seat under carpet. ALPINE MRD M300 (340w) coupled to a boston G5 12. Also , when I shut my car door the woofer gives off bass, its wierd lol

Thanks!

You have major issues with your install. I recommend taking it to someone who knows whats going on.
