Best way to add a basslink?

I will be adding a basslink shortly until i decided to step up to the plate and get something better. Is splicing it off the rear subs acceptable or will it sound worse than another solution.

Anyone with experience please let me know.

I used the PAC Audio AOEM-NIS2 adapter which precludes the need to splice anything (provides 4 RCA line level outputs), but it is a PITA to get it plugged in behind the radio. You might want to confirm with PAC Audio that it will work with the '05.
