Car surge with Stereo Upgrade?

What's up. Here is a little back ground of my system setup. I am running (1) JL 500/1 Amp to (2) 10w3's subs and (1) JL 300/4 to JL Audio Components and Coax. I also have a Xstatic Batcap 400. My amps are wires with 4 guage power.

The problem I am having is that when I have the music passed 14 on my stock bose stereo and the song has a lot of hard hitting bass my car will surge when I accelerate hard. If I have the stereo lower or if I turn my bass **** down then it's fine. The wierd thing is that the Batcap is doing it's job, because my lights inside and out don't dim at all. It's seems to me that since I am running around 800 watts RMS I am starving the alternator and I don't have the amps that my car needs. But then why wouldn't my lights dim? I previosly only had the (1) amp for my subs and I had no problem, until I added the second amp and changed all my speakers.

If anyone has any input or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Car surge with Stereo Upgrade?

i believe with the newer nissan models have an current amperage regulator so that it can electronicaly control the RPM of the vehical's motor. It is so that if you kick on your AC or any other high current object that is doesn't slowly strain your alternator. Which prolongs the life expentancy of an alternator. NOw shure i can't spell but when it comes to car audio and such i know my poop! i hope i was of service

Its not ur alternator... i had a system hooked to my stock head back in the day. It is simply a volatge issue. anyone who knows anything about audio wil tell you that your not suposed to run high end aftermarket equiptment off of a bose system. Make sure you have all the right converters and Adapters because im tellin you man the signal that your bose gives off is much weaker than an aftermarket head unit that the amps are designed for. Do yourself a favor and eitehr buy a new head unit (which is wat would work best) or get someone who knows soemthing about install to work on your car and check these things out
