so i talked to the installer for my autostart unit, and he said that the problem is that he needs a "tach singal wire" for the autostart to work....also he said another problem was that the doors unlock when the autostart is armed.....anybody have a solution to these problems so that i can relay the msg???

What kind of alarm is it? My installer had no problem putting a remote start on my 6MT (Viper 791XV). Good luck with that.

 

im going to be getting the compustar alarm... however, he said he has had this problem with the G35s specifically, not just the alarm unit.

 

I'd advise you to go with another alarm manufacturer, especially with the fact this problem only occurs with G35's.

 

i meant that he has worked with other alarm manufacturers, and the problem has persisted....i really dont know anything about alarm systems so any advice is greatly appreciated

 

I would suggest going to an installer who's familiar with G35s then, because I know there are alot of people on this board who have remote starts on their cars with no problems at all.

 

I have the Prestige 996A from Audiovox and it is awesome ! No Problems with this alarm !
