Alarms With Autostart

ok so i wanted to upgrade my alarm to one with autostart as well as a 2-way pager. However, my local shop that i deal with has said that there have been some problems with the G35 autostart...something about the tack wire (im just throwing a name out there becuase thats what i remember) anyways he said that the autostart has an issue.....anybody heard of this issue and know how to overcome it?

any help would be appreciated

Thanks

mines been workin correctly since i got it installed. I have a 6spd and it works off the door triggers. Basically when i take the key out my car doesnt shut off. (unless i leave it in gear) It shuts off when i exit and shut the door. If i go back to the car and open it without starting the car then it disables the remote start becuase it doesnt know if somone put the car in gear. So if I leave something in the car and have to get it before i want to leave then i either have to go through the process of starting the car and shutting it off or no remote start for me that night. Other than that remote starts work beautiful on G's and i havent ran into any problems.

Usually the tach wire isan issue, not for the car, but for the system trying to "read" it. Different brands have different issues on different cars.

I will check the tach wire on Monday.

I know nothing directly about Compustars.

I can tell you that Directed recommends the 1-cylinder setting and grabbing the wire at any ignition coil or fuel injector. If the Compustar has a one cylinder setting you should be fine.
