Question Aftermarket Headunit and stock bose speakers question

did a search and couldnt locate.

how do you bypass the Bose amp to make your stock bose speakers work with an aftermarket head unit? is the sound quality better having an aftermarket headunit hooked directly to the Bose speakers than the stock Bose system sounds?? considering doing the Kenwood DDX7017 with KNA4100 Nav. Please let me know.

I changed out my blose headunit with an alpine 9813 HU. Believe me when I tell you, it's a world of difference, plus I am running a JL 12w7 and IMO you need a good aftermarket HU to run a sub. But now that I've saved up a little I am looking at replacing the components anways. But you will definitely see a huge sound difference on the stocker speakers with a new HU.

thanks Mike... i dont plan on getting an aftermarket amp since the headunit should be more than enough power to push the stock speakers... just have to figure out how to wire the stock bose speakers to an aftermarket headunit...

Check out http://www.scosche.com/scosche/electronic/FAI3.asp. I used it and it works pretty good.
