G Stero

Hey, I am going to be getting a G35C soon and I was talking to my friend who has a blue sedan with the bose stero and he told me that if i wanted to upgrade my stero that i had to completely replace the whole stock stero becuase bose if self powered or something like that. Is it possibe to install some Boston acoustics speakers all around with a JL Amp and a JL W7 while running the stock headunit? Also does the stero affect the nav? thanks in advance

Re: G Stero

I asked Al and Ed's and they told me the same thing..that I had to rip out the whole thing and put in a new one... but some guy I knew said he can do it... that it didnt matter .. all i want is 2 subs and an amp wired up and thats it.. he said he can do it... He also states that they do it in Mercedes Benz as well and they got Bose systems too... so Im still confused as to who is correct...

Re: G Stero

you can put a sub and amp without pulling the headunit out! I tapped into the rear speakers! And mine works fine!
