Re: Satellite Radio

If I were you I would do the install myself. Infiniti will install the antenna on the roof and in my car it fits and works perfectly on the rear deck. The install takes about a half hour and is as easy as plugging in an outlet.

Re: Satellite Radio

I don't know what your dealer hourly rate may be, but some dealers are charging outrageous prices for the SAT install which is a real pity, because if you have ever hooked up a VCR to your TV, you can do this install. It's that easy. I posted a long message outlining how I did my install. Take a look at this picture. This is where I installed my Terk M3 antenna. Totally sealth. It is inside the rear brake light housing. My G35c did not come with the rear spoiler. I got both the SAT XM radio and Terk antenna at Scottsdale Infiniti. The Terk antenna has a lower profile than the Clarion antenna which came with my XM radio. Hope this helps.

Re: Satellite Radio

Do you have the actual part number for the Terk antenna. I have been looking for one that wasn't roof mount but I can't seem to find any. I really want to get Satellite radio but I really hate the roof mount antenna. Please help!!!

Re: Satellite Radio

If you remove all the carpet covering the bottom of the rear deck in the coupe you will find a half-dollar sized hole. If you take apart the big terk antenna that comes with the Infiniti XM box you will find that the actual antenna part is about the same diameter of the hole in the rear deck (the hole is almost in the middle and is possibly related to the third brake light that I don't have cuz I have a spoiler). If you stick the antenna part up through the hole and secure the antenna using some backstrapping you will be set. It has worked perfect in my coupe since October.
