newbie Sat Radio Question
newbie Sat Radio Question
My G35 Coupe is not prewired but I do have a Sat button. After reading the threads for awhile I am still not clear on exactly what I need. Where can I get the harness necessary for installing the Sat Radio? Does the harness need to be installed at the dealer or can the local stereo shop do it? I understand that the hardware install is a breeze once the harness is installed, but what hardware is necessary? An antenna and receiver? I appologise for the repetition but help would be appreciated.
Thanx,
Allan

Re: newbie Sat Radio Question
Pull apart your trunk to check for the harness. Take out the spare, than the black plastic covering to the left of the spare which is held by one 10mm nut/bolt. You should see the housing for your stereo amp (mine is the bose) and to the left of that is a wire bundle. If you have a white plug which is about 1.2"x0.3" secured in the middle of that wire bundle, then you have then harness. If your VIN is not too far below the published VIN cutoff for the harness, then it is prewired.

Re: newbie Sat Radio Question
I started a thread about my XM install in my prewired (but below the official VIN cuttoff) coupe.
