Your to tite. Losen upp.
On the serious side, I believe we should be better examples to others, esp. for the kids. However, your approach was not well taken. Even a highly educated individual like myself makes mistakes.

are you going to be doing your setup? or have a shop. since your in dallas and want to make a trip to houston i have a guy that does excellent work. you can still keep your spare (but wont fit over brembo brakes if you have a coupe i dont know). but if you get a rim that fits i would make the amp rack slide into the box so you can have acess to your spare if you want to end up keeping it. i would drop it.
im i the only one that feels when you get rid of the spare that will not fit i will get a nail or a flat. yes everyone has the infiniti road side assistance.
but you guys are going to say but either way it wont fit so either way your screwed. so i guess is peace of mind. i dont konw.

I still haven't decided on what to do. I just got my RCA cables and fuses in the mail yesterday. How much will your guy charge, and how long will it take? I can go to Houston for a weekend.

I think those of us going without spare tires are sure that we have friends who wouldn't laugh at us. Might demand a beer afterwards, but would come and help us.

Lightbulb Spare Option

Moog - Here's the route I took. The new 350z comes with an 18" space saver spare that will fit over the Brembos ( heck, it clears my 14.25" Wilwood kit! ) Unfortunately I couldn't wait ( last year ) so I bought an 18" G wheel off eBay & had it cut down to 5.5" wide then used an 18" doughnut from a Chrysler 300M. This basically sits the spare flush with the rest of the trunk floor & comfortably under the carpet. I didn't want to build something permanent into the wheel well that wouldn't handle my 18" iForgeds in the event of a flat so I had to restrict my system quite a bit. Some really impressive trunks in the earlier posts - makes me want to compete again but if U've kept up with my posts in the Forced Induction forum then U'll know that my $$ is going into the stroker motor!
The pic is my single 12" Eclipse sub in the drivers' side corner ( I need to trim the top carpet ) & a 10# nitrous bottle resides in the other corner so I can't get really crazy with the system.
