he's charging you msrp for everything,
-not sure what "l imp" is
-or why an amp kit is needed
-a box shouldn't cost $150 unless its custom made

yeah, search around, you'll def. find a better deal.
if you're not in a rush to get it done, try ebay, com, you'll find the best deals for the w7 and the 500/1 amp

Go online and get everything then have someone install it. It'll be cheaper.

Re: subs for G35

G-threefizzle,

What shop gave you that quote? That seems pretty reasonable to me and I'm thinking about going audio in my car as well. Let me know please. Thanks!

I got hooked up, so I paid wholesale prices. I bought a custom MLG box for $125 on eBay, but you can also look at 4080's custom box which has had great reviews. Install was relatively easy so my friend and I did that myself. Good luck.

me either... unless it's "line iNput" (note an "N", not an "M", iMput is not a word).

so you can power your amp? Amp kit generally consits of a long power wire to run from the battery, a short ground wire to ground the amp wherever you locate it, a remote turn on wire to connect to your radio. Sometimes they include RCAs as well, but seeing as how those are on the quote already, guess the amp kit he was quoted did not include them.

be warned that purchasing audio equipment online means you have no manufacturer warranty. Not that I wouldn't do it (in fact, I have), but buyer beware. No internet shops are authorized resellers (well, there are a couple, but not worth mentioning).

there's the popular 4080 box that is very popular on this forum, that goes on the driver side of the trunk. I've seen a few off eBay that some guy makes for the G35 and Z350 and some other cars. That box seems to be bigger, but it goes against the cubby hole, so if you ever need to carry big things in the trunk , you have to take the box out to put the back seat down.

Does anyone know if the eBay box gives good performance?

is it against the rules if i post up what i can get the products for?

as for boxes... man I know we were supposed to get that coupe one done but things have gotten really busy w/ some other projects. on top of that the coupes we were supposed to have built on flaked out. if you're in socal and don't mind leaving your car at our place for a day or several hours so we can build a mold and get dimensions, then we're willing to give you a discount on the box. PM or email at robin@attn-to-details.com

We have the sedan 2 12" flush mount using minimal trunk space ready to go. can fit the depth of a W6 w/ about an inch to spare behind the magnet.

either an amp that accepts balanced input signals or a LOC that will convert the balanced signal coming from the bose HU to a single-ended signal that most amps require. Tons of info on this if you use the search feature.

pm me a list of what you want for sure. and i can get you a quote on parts if your not local.

one more thing there is some better subs out there for that much $$$? well then that all comes down to opinion. for me JL is good stuff but price is high for it. as to other high in audio they are "better" for aroudn the same price.
