I just have no idea what labor cost would be to install an AVN5435. How much should i look to pay at an authorized dealer (Car toys) around here and theres one other random shop that is close enough too. I was thinking of buying the double din dash + AC and the AVN5435 on my own for cheaper than they would be through Car Toys..... but how much should i look to spend?

 

If your bringing your own product, chances are theyre gonna charge you substantially more for the install. Also bear in mind if your looking to purchase it on Fleabay or any other onlines shop (aside from Crutchfield) then you wont have your Three year warranty or theft coverage.

A ballpark guess would be in the neighborhood of $200 for them to install it IF you provided it. It ashame to, as its a pretty straightforward install in the G. Especially with the SS being right behind the HU.

 

Install on the G is not for the faint of heart. Retaining steering wheel controls etc should be done by someone who knows what they are doing. What is a shame is to see a nice car going up in flames from a poor audio install. I've been told by an installer friend of mine they charge $250 for the G.

I installed it all myself, but I enjoy this sort of stuff.

 

I don't think it'll matter... if you buy from them, they'll probably be more willing to discount the install. But if you bought it outside and bring it in, they just might charge more for the labor...

 

CT probably gives you about a $40 credit towards install with purchase.
