Getting a aftermarket bluetooth carkit + ipod connect tomorrow.
Yes, you can change the brightness of the display. Both manually and also it dims after a while of no activity untill you make a call or a call is recieved.
The time it took for the install? Well I don't know when they started on the car but I dropped it off at 10 in the morning and he called me to pick it up at 2 (but that was the PAC ipod install too)
Glad to see people like it. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone with abluetooth phone.

Any idea how much you paid for the install on the PAC? I have a motorola bluetooth kit and the PAC ready to install, and can't find time to do it myself.
What was the name of the individual who did the install - want to make sure its someone who knows the G!

Well Friddie is the owner of the company and he and an installer Danny did both my bluetooth and PAC install.
As for the price of just the install for the PAC. He did both at the same time, but he said the G can take a while to take apart (if you do it carefully to not scratch anything) Some guys can do it really quickly, but i don' know if they are carefull. I think just for the PAC install it would probably be 250 for the unit and the instalation.

Thanks for the recommendation. I got my Motorola bluetooth phone kit (IHF 1000) and PAC AAI installed at Santa Monica Car Sound last week. Danny did a great job on the install, with no visible markings to the trim.
The motorola kit is simply awesome with a motorola phone. Connects flawlesly, voice commands are easy, and sound quality is very good at both ends (although I would like more volume). It is not so good with my Treo 650 though, which keeps dropping the bluetooth connection, so I need to tell it to reconnect if I want to use the voice functions - it seems OK for simply dialing and receiving calls using the phone though.

Did you need some sort of amp to power the extra speaker, or did the parrot box power it?
I have the system integrated with the radio. It automatically mutes/turns off the radio when a call comes in and plays through the front speakers. The unit is powered off the radio power as well, and has a built in 5w amp to power the speakers connected to the output.
I did mine too a few months ago, but went with Raytel. I do have the mute accessory option too but didnt have time to install it yet. I use it with my Blackberry 7100, works great. Also seems that someone from Raytel found my pic somewhere and posted it on their site http://www.tellphone.com/index.php?o...d=35&Itemid=73
Shellbmb, the parrot box powers the speaker itstself, no amp required. I have seen others do modification so that the automute feature works, but it also risked voiding the warranty if something happened to the audio system. I was hessitant on the external speaker at first, but I can't believe how loud and clear that little speaker is.

I want to do it myself, I orginally did it with my aftermarket radio in my 97 mustang which was a breeze, but I'm not sure the best way to go about with my 03 g35 coupe 6mt..any suggestions or input?
