and my $.02 is that you should change the rear sides to a 6" woofer and seprates in the rear deck

This reveals far more about your thought processes than about the original poster...

So not only rear fill, but comps in the rear? That would make for a pretty poor soundstage, as well as a waste of money. Although as you said its your $.02 which everyone is entitled to.

That's a pretty good assessment of the value of that advice from a sound quality perspective... but we already know that you don't think anyone wants to "do it right"...

Are there any 6.5 inch that do not fit the sedan? Just bought an '06 6MT. I am looking at putting in a component MBQuart system in the front.

Also if you can give me a link on this site to a thread that has comments on wiring in a dedicated sub amp into the OEM Bose system that would be greatly appreciated. I have a bunch of equipment I'd like to install but for now am looking at speakers and maybe the sub/sub amp route.

Also, does anyone know if there are still companies that make stuff to interface an aftermarket system to the OEM steering wheel audio controls? Just thinking about it some time in the future, probably when they come out with a dash kit for this car.

Thanks
