Dls Ur6
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the DLS UR6 - (not the UP6 that everyone here writes about regularly). I'm planning a new system and I want a nice set of components up front. I can get a good deal on the UR6's and, given dls's reputation on this board, I figured they might be worth a shot.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Note - I tried a search on UR6 and DLS but couldn't pull anything up. Pretty strange considering DLS is mentioned in just about every thread...

The UR6 or the UR6s?
The UR6 without the "S" is not being imported into the US any longer. They now just do the "S" with the yellow honeycomb cone. Good speaker though.
The tweeters on the UR and Iridium components have a tuned airtight chamber behind them. Makes them sound great, but makes them fit...well, in very few places. They're like 1-1/2" deep! The UP6 is the most popular set at our store largely because the tweeter sounds great and fits in a lot of places. The UR tweeter sounds a hair better, and has more power handling - but if it won't fit, it's not that much help, eh?
