Cool Kappas are in....

Got my infinity Kappas installed today and all I can say is WOW !!! What an improvement over the bose speakers. Still have the bose amp and will decide over the next few weeks if I want to keep it or replace the amp & sub. The kappas are a GREAT improvement.

Glad you like 'em. Did you replace the rears as well? Did you make a spacer to install them?

Yes 62.7 in the rear. I did not install them, but the guy who used the spacers that came in the packages. (he may have used all 4 spacers on the fronts - not sure).

I replaced all 6 speakers in mine with Infinity Kappa's and added a Basslink in the trunk. I am running them off the stock Bose amp and it sounds great.

By 6 speakers you mean the front doors & rear deck, or does the coupe have fronts / rears & rear deck? How did you tap the basslink in & was it a basslink or the new basslink II?

Sorry for so many questions, you seem to have set up just what I'm tryin to do. Thanks !

The coupe, with premium has front and rear sides, and rear decks. The rear decks are "subwoofers", 6x9's that are low pass. Not real subwoofers, but they are better than nothing. The front sides are components (tweeters are in the door right inside the mirrors) and the rear sides are coaxials.

While you will get better sound by just replacing the speakers, down the road, you might want to think about replacing the amp as well.
