Re: My Stereo Upgrade

Stock bose head unit? Did you feed the pre-amp stock HU feeds directly into your amp or use some sort of converter? Do you think keeping the stock HU handicaps the sound or are you happy with the range now that you have a better amp/speakers?
I can't wait to get started on mine!

Re: My Stereo Upgrade

I am getting my friend to look into the JDM Double Din Console... and then I can get an aftermarket HU in there

I used Line Out Convertors, the sound is definitely better than the stock but not as good as I imagine... I am going back today to tune the system

Re: My Stereo Upgrade

ahhhhh.....sweet pic of the rubicon, very NICE...need to change out the stock bose to get full SQ out of speakers...have you noticed that, when you drive at higher speed(40 and up) it sounded better? i think is that SVC thinging, maybe stock H.U. give more volts at higher speed?...s.w.

Re: My Stereo Upgrade

Are you sure about that limeg35? I don't think that is true, might be, but I doubt it.

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: My Stereo Upgrade

What kinda of line out converters did you use? High/Low? I posted a reply to sub/amp question, you may wanna look at if. I f you use the items I listed and add an Audio Control Four.1 parametric EQ w/ voltage booster you should be able to stay stock and get the performance your looking for.
