Secret cavities in the G35? :)

Anyone know of a spot in the front of the car (forward of the front seats, preferably in the dash somewhere) that has room for a device measuring:

4.6" x 3.25" x 1.75"

Any suggestions? Can't be anywhere that will get wet.

ROFL. I just re-read that and realized how bad it sounds. No, I'm not transporting drugs. It's for a power supply for my car PC that is going in my glovebox. I really don't want to run power wires all the way from the trunk to the dash.

Bad bad people for thinking that!

280ZX is the car of choice for drug runners. Secret cavities al around the back/trunk area...

On a serious note, have you lifted up the carpet on the passenger side? You might find some space there, or kind of up where the ECU is.

There is a spot as big as the fuse panel on the passenger side. Just pop that panel/trim piece out. Let me know how the glove box install goes. I'm thinking of doing the same.

I think this wins it as it is right below the screen location (allowing for each wiring to it) and not too far from the upper glove box. AND I remember seeing a lot of room when I was doing the PAC-AAI-NIS2. That's choice #1. Thanks guys, this is all very helpful!

You'll be pretty suprised when you pull out the seat and see whats under the carpet! I was actually planning to build a carputer case to fit there.
There is also a little bit of space behind the glove box, but heat build-up would be an issue. Under the center console there is also a bit of space too.

Can you explain a bit more?

And if you were going to worry about heat dissipation behind the glovebox, wouldn't you worry about it under the seat / under the carpet?
