I want to save space in my coupe so I am considering going withthe 500/5 to run 1 amp instead of 2. I plan to use the stock HU and replace all speakers and add a sub with the 4080 box. Does anyone have this setup? Will the 500/5 be enuff?

 

I do and yes, it will be enough with proper speaker and sub selection.

 

I also have the JL 500/5 amplifier and a 4080 box for my sub.



My system is a bit different in that I also have an Eclipse AVN5435 head unit... Subwoofer is a 10W3v2.

Yep, the rear seat still folds down... that's how you get to the cables and make adjustments.

I don't fold it down to load stuff, though... I wouldn't want to scratch the amp by sticking long boards or something through the opening.
