To blksnake's question: The PA-11 works great in my 2003.5. My understanding is that it works in all 2003.5-2006's; not sure about the 2003 w/o the SAT button.

Also, the PA-11 manual notes that a special cable is needed to use with Nav -- that is incorrect. My Nav voice still works as usual after the install.

Mine was indeed in the Playlist mode, I switched it yesterday.. now it works normal, where you can use the Ipod controls and display as well as the cars controls.

In playlist mode, you have to name the playlists:

NISSAN1_Whatever
NISSAN2_YOu
NISSAN3_Want
NISSAN4_TO CALL
NISSAN5_IT!
The Disk 6 is everything.

If you dont rename them, it will just like pick the first 5 playlists. The display still just displays the Disk# and track #. and the Ipod shows the NISSAN screen.

Oh yeah, no special cables for the nav.. works fine.

Crutchfield's ordering database says that the unit is NOT compatible with my 2004 with Bose. Is that an error, or does Bose not qualify?!

[Dumb Newbie Question mode]

Does using this device hijack your 6-CD internal changer? Or only 5 of the 6 disk choices?

Or do you retain full use of both the internal 6-CD changer and the PA11 attachment (iPod)? If this is the case, how do you select between the two? Pressing/toggling the Disc button?

Don't mean to hijack the thread or anything, but take a look at the link. I never heard of this before.

Im sure this has been answered already. But, YES, you can still use the in Dash Changer and the Ipod.. it will cycle (on the 06) AM>FM1>FM2>CD(in dash)>CD CHGR(Ipod)

So my question is: does that apply to 2004 models? I didn't even know my 2004 Bose unit supported an external changer.

Dude, YES....all of your questions have already been answered. IT WILL WORK ON YOUR 2004 G35 with BOSE, IT WILL NOT TAKE AWAY YOUR CD CHANGER. IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO HAVE FULL USE OF THE IPOD AND ALLOW YOU TO CHANGE TRACKS WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. It uses the CD button to toggle between iPod mode and regular CD changer mode. Read the posts (there are two currently discussing this), plus the one I just posted about my install in a 2003.5 sedan (same as your 2004).

www.proclipusa.com

Remember its a two part! Thats how they get you. One part is the mount for the specific car, then the clip for the specific Ipod or device!

Well worth it though.
