Help me with GPS/LCD etc...

Hey guys new to the forums, also a new G35x 05 owner! Woot!

Anyways i bought a used g35x off a close friend he had the premium package installed all the bells and whistles exept for the darn GPS.

I am very interested in putting one in.

I have been readign the forums for about 2 hours now trying to look at the best options as to how to do it...

It seems like the 7" screen by digital wheelz is the best LCD to go with. But thats really as far as i got. I am very computer savvy so ive tried to understand what i need to complete the process.

What i want to do:

Have a LCD screen, that will let me use GPS, possibly bluetooth connectivity with my blackberry all the other featuers like watching dvds music, etc are all bonuses. What really matters is that i have an LCD that has GPS on it (I was VERY impressed with teh StreetDeck software). So what I am asking is waht do i need to purchase to do this. I already know i need that 7" screen from digital wheelz. but what next? do i need a carputer? etc any information would be helpfull.

check out www.streetdeck.com (from the maker of the digitalwheelz screen) - there is a package that includes both g35 screen + carPC w/nav but I'm sure if it's actually shipping yet. You can pm GOD_OF_CPU on this site for more info.

For something easier (note: I didn't say "easy"), check out streetdeck as rcdash suggested. If you're looking for a more DIY/ more difficult but more personalized solution, start reading the forums at www.mp3car.com

Also, future carPC related posts would be best posted under the car PC forum above. You'll get more thorough answers there. You can also see some worklogs by a couple of people installing Car PCs in their G35s.
