Re: Better Use Of An Ashtray

Gordy: I just got my 3rd V1 last May. Upgrade V 1.8, and did have a chance to talk with Mike. Told him that I didn't want to invest in an upgrade if they had a new version pending. He said they were always looking at product improvements, but had no upgrades in mind at that time. That V1 has saved my butt many a time. I'm certainly not going to invest in a product for the third time that I was not convinced was the best choice in the current marketplace.

That's a nice install but wouldn't it be kind of hard to see? I like to keep my eyes on the road when I'm doing 90+.

Re: Better Use Of An Ashtray

You guys have done some cool stuff with your spare 'spaces'.
I especially like the remote display of Mstil35's V1. I wish those detectors were legal here in Ontario (Canada, not Cali). I'd have one in a heartbeat.
All I've put in the ashtray so far is my scotch mints.
Great work guys.

Directional arrows, bogey count, upgrades without buying a new unit, remote display, auto dimming, etc etc.

Re: Better Use Of An Ashtray

I agree with "hiim", nice install but I like mine on the dash. This way when you get a tone you automatically see what it is when you check your speed. I used my V1 in my other car mounted on the windshield and got a headache after about 30 minutes from looking out of the corner of my eye when it went off.
