Does anyone know if the Bose speakers have changed along with headunit from <04 to >04?
I ask because I had an '04 w/ the Bose system before, and unlike many others I didn't think it sounded bad, not great, but not bad. I just got an '06 w/ the Bose system last week, and it sounds like crap.

isnt the 06 speakers the same as the 05 ?

 

CD is a little better than the radio, but I think thats primarly due to reception. Even my FM before was sounding better than my CDs now. Everything sounds really weak. Highs are ok, mids are marginal, and bass at 5+ sounds like it's at -1or2.

 

yea mine sounds just a as weak. Plus anything over 20 on the meter sounds like crap :/

This is why I'm upgrading audio before gettin the mrev (sound before power...)

 

again, remember the only bose speakers you would have in a "premium" package system is the rear shelf 6x9" subs and the amp. The rest of the cabin speakers are factory NISSAN speakers, NOT BOSE.

Yea, I didn't realize the other speakers weren't Bose either.
I'm listenting to music between 10-15 for my earlier comments.

 

regardless, they're not that high quality :/ infiniti/nissan needs to take a look at lexus and learn a thing or too about sound systems.

 

Just replace the door speakers with some aftermarket components, it'll make a huge difference.

If you want to spend about $120 got the Polk DBA's, if you want to spend about $320 get the DLS up6.

 

So I had the dealer check out the setup on my '04 trade in. Turns out that the guy that had it before me put in a 900W Kenwood amp. I've decided to find something comparable for my new '06.

If it ends up sounding like the '04 (which it should) the sound should be awesome. If you're looking for a nice upgrade to the Bose system that is minimal, upgrade the pos 300w max amp they have in there.
