Adding subs and an amp to BOSE

ok, im wanting to install the subs and amp i had on my previous car. now, i know i need an adaptor because of the bose system. will the VENREM be sufficient to get a signal to the amp? here is the link http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PERVENREM another thing i was kinda worried about was, how would i feed a remote turn-on to my amp. this adapter says it provides the 12 volt turn-on. has anyone used this VENREM adapter? does it really work. any commets would be appreciated.

i have PAC adaptors in my car...but i'm not sure about the remote turn-on cause i didn't install it...but from what i remember i think he might of used the stock remote turn-on to the bose amp, you might wanna get it done professionally, especially on a car like this, so if something goes wrong its their fault unless you know what your doing...good luck

Re: Adding subs and an amp to BOSE

well i feel comfortable doing the work myself but considering that my 2-12" subs are just so big (especially for our small trunks) i will need a custom box for them...so i might as well have it professionaly done, thanx for the comments. BTW do any of you have any pics of different set-ups (preferably with 12" subs). thanx

I also have PAC adapters in my Max and they work very well. It's the head unit that sucks. I would also recommend a AudioControl Epicenter sub control for MUCH better performance + remote sub control.

the "AudioControl Epicenter" is an wired remote gains for the sub's frequency...some of the sub amp come with remote gain control...s.w.

in the coupe

I think that the green/yellow is the color at the head unit.

At the amp itself I think the color is Light Blue.

(see AV-Audio -07 of the service manual).
