No, the OEM switch isn't just a simple switch, it's overly complicated and at rest nothing is connected inside the switch.

For those that get the one with two modules, is it possible to have that one contain the "center/off" switch? So that we don't have have to go into reverse, then pop it out and back in?

Most likely not because then you wouldn't be able to do both at once, if you should want to.

So what happens if you are parallel parking, and you need to "fix" a bad entry? You may end up switching between R and 1st about 4 times. How will the mirror behave in that scenario?

Hey Kevin,

Did you ever get your fuel pressure issue solved?

Once you either engage it (2 reverse pulses) or bypass the system (1 reverse pulse) the system waits until the car has been out of reverse for ~10seconds before it will look for commands again. This should allow most people to parallel park without the mirror moving at all.

I got your message, sorry I didn't get back with you. I still haven't done anything about it. I have a new fuel pressure regulator sitting in the car, but the shop that does my work has been too busy to fit me in. I'm hoping that it's the regulator and not the pump, as it was in your case.

The video shows KPtechnologies latest creation, still in the EARLY stages of development. Finally got a working prototype in my car, but it is JUST a prototype and the final version is still at least two months away.

Anyway, enjoy the .avi (its ~5mb)

One module controls one mirror. It is possible (and very easy) to install a 2nd module to control the left mirror.

Maybe I should clarify my question, with 1 module, can it control both mirrors at seperate times, based on the settings of the stock selector, or will I have to choose a side to install the module on, ie there are seperate wires for left and right side mirrors
