I've been super busy on other things lately, and haven't put any time in to this module.

It won't be linked at all to seat position, in fact if you use memory seats with two different people the module probably won't work all that well, as it's completely time based. This module would be ideal for people who never make major adjustments to their mirrors.

OK, after sitting this project aside for a few months I'm back on it. The test circuit boards were ordered last night, and should be here within 7 days. The big problem right now is that I am leaving for my Honeymoon in the Bahamas on Dec. 18th. So, even though the boards will be here soon it will most likely be next year until I can actually work on them. Unless, of course, I could find an interested G35 in the Bahamas!!!!!!

Hey that's not so far fetched KP. I know for a fact there are modded G's in Jamaica so maybe in the Bahamas too although working on your modules on your honeymoon might not make your new wife too happy. Oh yeah and upload pics of the honeymoon

She's already told me 'no laptop' so I doubt she would approve of me taking along modules to play with!

Well, I made it back, and I tested the new circuit board last night on my bench. Everything works great on it! Now, I just need to find some time to replace the module in my car with the new version and make sure it works as good in the car as it does out.

How exactly will this work again? Will both mirrors automatically turn downwards when in reverse? Can you set it to do one mirror individually? And more importantly, can you disable it entirely? Obviously this will come in handy parking next to a curb, but I have a one-car garage which I always back into and I wouldn't want the mirrors to shift down when I'm backing into the garage since I use the mirrors to gauge my distance from the sides.

I would be interested for sure depending on price. Can't wait to see the final product.

The module will only work with one mirror. To tilt both mirrors you will need two modules. If you buy two modules you can install a switch to select between left, right, or both. To trigger the mirrors to tilt you have to put the car in reverse, take it out of reverse, and within 1 second put it back in to reverse. If you simply put the car in reverse it will NOT tilt the mirror(s). From my personal experiance very seldomly do you need the mirrors to tilt, so we made it require driver interaction before it would move the mirror.

I think there was talk of this earlier in the thread...but would it be possible to tie this function in with the mirror adjustment switch? So if the driver side mirror is selected, that mirror will always tilt down when in reverse. Same goes for the passenger side. And if the switch is in the middle (disabled) then neither mirrors tilt down. That would make for an easy on/off switch. And like you said you should never really need to have both mirrors tilt down at the same time. I can also see how the tilting feature will not always be used, but the method of going into reverse, out, and into reverse...that just seems like an annoyance.
