Alpine vs Bose

I have been telling myself that the Bose system in the G sounds pretty good, but, today I fired up my truck for the first time in three months with an Alpine head unit and Rockford Fosgate speakers, stuck in the new David Gilmore CD and it sounded awesome!

No point to this thread other than to say I will be ripping out the Bose someday.

(Also any Pink Floyd fans out there, the David Gilmore CD is as close to Floyd as it gets.)

I literally did the SAME thing over the weekend! I've been driving my G back and forth to work and haven't needed to drive my truck. Yesterday my wife has me go pick something up for her and it hits me! My Alpine HU with Diamond Audio components powered by a McIntosh amp just sounds sooooo sweet! The BOSE will be ripped out shortly.....

Same here...

Recently took OUT my Alpine head unit and replaced it back to the stock Blose Head unit....the sound quality deteriorated, and that's on stock components.

Goodluck with the install Jeff!

Not to thread jack or anything but does anyone have any good solutions instead of using a pocket when installing a single DIN HU?

You can put a single DIN EQ tuner below the HU, personally i'm going to put my bass **** and digital volt meter for my alphasonik amp in the area below my single din HU.
