MONTHS in the planning and a few weeks in the build.
I'll take pics this week.

So today I finished the audio (phase 1) portion of my Double Din Conversion. Avic D1 is in, woot! Hand sanded trim ring, baby looks oem.

my parts list is huge..I'll just name a few things:

12 g speaker wire all around
twisted pair RCA's to both amps

Sub AMP JBL bp1200 to Inf kappa 12"

Speaker amp - JBL PX300.4
http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...=US&region=USA

and the front speaks - jbl 608GTI
http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...=US&region=USA

OMG, without tuning the system yet, i was blown away by the quality of sound. I'm currently using the stock rears for fill. (replacments in box)

Rear camera will go in this week and my Avox Jukbox (80gb harddrvie) in the upper glovebox.

Thank you all G35driver audio nuts for providing such awesome info.

Thanks!! I was hoping for pics yesterday, but the weather sucked. Gonna shoot for tommorow.

Here is where you go for the double din stuff:

Grubbs

You dont need the bracket, but i got it, so i could pre-assemble the parts.

I have a order through them already. They are back ordered(everyweek the shipment is expected in 2 wks). I thought maybe you had another site that had stock. Seems you pre-ordered your kit. Thanks for the comeback.
+++for pics when you get opportunity. The pics inspire me to hang in there.

if you are referring to the DD finishing plate trim- yeah I was caught in that same "maybe 2 weeks" loop myself for over a month. finally just went ahead and ordered from yoshi at j's garage in japan this past friday and it's already on the way and should be here possibly by the end of the week. should of done that looong ago.

just loved having to use 2 hands to adjust the a/c controller!

PICS!

this should keep you motivated...

The glare is only though the camera, no glare from the normal view. I'm still hardwiring my jukebox, wiring the IR repeater this weekend.

Thanks again.

Badcommand I am trying to save the $50+ bucks. That is the only reason I haven't bought from Yoshi yet. Speedgeek, I see no negatives with this kit. Looks good

if you are just looking for the backordered finishing plate trim- yoshi is cheaper as my bank statement shows- $88.58 from grubbs and $81.20 from yoshi- both shipped (though grubbs hasn't shipped yet!) and I have already rcv'd the plate today from yoshi when I ordered it late this past friday eve (less than a week ago)! man I wished I did that 6 weeks ago!!!

I believe yoshi charges about $50 more for the a/c controller only.

Thanks BadCommand for the info. I just amended my order with Grubbsperf. And then immediately placed my order with Yoshi. Hopefully I will have the same experience(ie faceplate arriving by next fri). BTW Grubbsperf has plenty of the a/c controllers and brackets. 05 Faceplate is still backordered.
