No, I still believe in test results. That is why I mentioned if I can test one myself.

 

Why would you need to do anymore testing??? I thought you did so much research that you knew what you were buying. The best and greatest V1 testers already verified that the V1 is the best

The fact that you're even considering trying it out means that there is still some doubt.

I remember you said your friend had one in his mazda...why don't you ask him to trade detectors for a week???

 

My guess is that the X-50 is just more available than the V1, you can get them at most any Best Buy etc. V1 is only available by mail.

 

The X50 wasn't out when I got my V1. Neither was the Bel. The 8500 was before my V1 and with me getting a few tickets with that radar I got the V1 and haven't had any since. I have had a V1 for 4-5 years. At that time the V1 was the best and per the tests I see it is still one of the best.

You can all think you have the best with the X50 but the majority of us with the Valentine One know otherwise. The G35 results are the only results that favor the X50 over the V1 on the internet.

Your looking at popularity votes with people who buy $40k cars. Of course they are going to pick the most expensive. Most people have only used one brand. The differences between the two are marginal. I would say both are very effective. IMO the V1 is overpriced and the escort is expensive. They each have small advantages. So far the escort has kept me ticket free, so I'm happy. I also don't like the fact that v1 has refused to modernize their display. It looks like something from the 80's; for that price I expect something much more refined in all aspects.

 

Now you are being immature and disrespectful to the entire board. We have voiced our opinions of which is "best" in this poll, and the majority here feel the X50 is "best." You could have fooled me. Your tactics and religious defense of the V1 across multiple forums looks exactly like my experiences with sales people. At least until you insulted the people who posted their opinions by voting in this poll... never seen a sales person insult their potential clients. So I guess in that way you're right, otherwise you're sales through and through. Not fooling anyone either. We should start a poll: "Is RaDaRkInG a sales rep for Valentine 1?"

 

let me get some popcorn....i was leaning towards the V1...but the price just doesnt justify the 'benefits'. besides too many have said great things about the escort...and its not a night/day difference IMHO to justify the price diff...
