My goodness... if this thread gets any stoopider we're going to have to line the forum walls with protective foam to keep people from hurting themselves.

Both detectors have about the same sensitivity... the DSP chips in these things are made by the same manufaturers... it's not like Escort OR Valentine has their own chip manufacturing plants. Duh. The main difference is how the software reacts to those DSP signals... each detector is programmed somewhat differently. One may be programmed to be slightly more sensitive, but then you get more false alarms.

I've had a couple of each... I now have an X50 in the G35 and just ordered another for the Lexus. For me, the deciding factor was the smaller size and less conspicuous package of the X50, as well as the remote display. For my use, I've had better luck with the X50, and prefer the advantages stated above. As a side note, it shouldn't matter, but I do have a hard time taking Valentine seriously when their case is so bulky and looks like 80's crap. What else is in that thing - vacuum tubes?

If you don't like the X50, go get a V1. They work well, also. Who gives a cr@p. I sure don't.

And you found this out by wrapping them in Saran Wrap and then dunking them in water and verifying displacement? Or are you talking out your deleted?

Since you are trying to ignore the Soviet-era industrial design of the V1, I'm guessing you have a dog in this fight.

Heeeeee's baaaaack! Your measurements don't mean squat when people THINK that the V1 LOOKS bigger. When you make something look like a brick, people are going to go "dam*, that thing is huge, it looks like a brick from the 80s." Now, you make something with the same volume but put some curves on it, and people are going to go "wow, that's pretty big, but not as big as that BRICK!" At LEAST 48 out of 80 G35 drivers (P.S. RaDaRkInG doesn't drive a G35) agree, the V1 looks like a brick, smells like a brick, tastes like a brick... it's a brick. I bet even some of the people who voted for the V1 or OWN a V1 would say it looks like a brick. Looks were NOT why they bought it, that's for sure.

And they measured your brain mass, it was lighter than the V1.

Wow... you ALMOST left your talking points and actually started to get creative.... then you threw in the V1 at the end. So sad. Your life must be boring. I see you failed to address the fact that the V1 looks like a brick.

9 out of 10 of g35driver.com agrees, all GaYdArKiNgS should leave.

See, now THAT was creative... and you didn't even mention the V1 or Valentine ANYWHERE in that post. You're starting to make progress. I am so proud.

As usual, more insults on the V1 when they aren't needed. He said the smaller of the radars was the X50 but Radar King just posted the facts (numbers) that it isn't the smallest. Why do you guys not like facts? LOL

Because dude, it's not that simple. He doesn't just come in here and post numbers. He trolls around, waiting for someone to say something that he can copy and paste his talking point fan boy bullshi* about. His posts aren't honest, he has an agenda... denying that is ignorant. Why YOU or anyone would choose to defend him is beyond me and it makes me sad.

He refuses to address any questions put to him, no matter how civil they are made or who makes them. He simply copies and pastes over and over. I ask him what he thinks about the fact that many owners of the V1 say it looks horrid, not to mention what non V1 owners say about it. He refuses to address it. I ask him to comment on the fact that test #s don't mean anything if people still feel/think that the V1 is not best (because of price, color, size, whatever). He refuses to comment. Most telling is when I ask him how he would like to improve the V1, he says it is perfect and cannot be improved.

Yet, you defend him.

He refuses to accept the fact that the majority of this board believes the x50 is better and insultingly discounts us by saying, in essence, that the rest of the world believes the V1 is better.

Yet you defend him... someone who does not even own a G35.

I feel like I'm talking to CD that's on repeat. And with the fuc*ing retarded V1 and X50 "debate" (term used loosely), I am feeling like I, myself, am a CD on repeat.

If he would admit that to some people the X50 is better and to some people the V1 is better, WITHOUT DISCREDITING those who feel the X50 is better, I think we'd all be happy.

So RadarKing, would you like to address all the points you have danced around forever? Or shall you dig into your vast treasure chests of V1 propoganda and copy/paste me a little ditty, or perhaps you'd like to make another "deep" comment regarding US politics and public policy.

Is this what we are supposed to say in the 21st century instead of "like a broken record"?

We did occasionally have to take the short school bus to the GATE program.

But how does HxWxL work on a parabolic-curve space like an X50? It doesn't! You are grossly rounding up, I suspect.

You might want to read this 15-page treatise on volume calculations:
