I have an old round Kicker Solobaric sub in my 4080 box now, but I'm looking for something more modern and with more excusion.

I'm considering the Boston Acoustics G2 dvc but I would like input from you guys that have the 4080 box as to what you are using.

I go more for sound quality than quantity, but I do like good, deep bass. I don't like boomy.

Please let me know what you are using or would use.

 

jl w3 or w6 is very common in this forum, i used w3 with jl 500/1 and it's loud enough for me (the gain on my amp is quite low so i don't fry my sub)

 

boston subs aren't that great but that's just my opinion. alot of guys go with the w3 and w6 like htn said, and they love it.

 

JL seems to be the most popular. I've had nothing but good experiences with JL in my own experience, excellent quality in sound, and they last a very long time.

 

I forgot to add that it's powered by a JL 500/5.
