That is an 03-04 Finisher, not an 05. What are you talking about? I personally have done multiple installs with both dashes. Here is what an 05 looks like.

I have a ZERO SIX model aka 06. I purchased the finisher for a 05 and up model. I was referring to shadowtard; who purchased a 05 and up finisher for his 03/04 model; and complained that it did not fit. If you have installed kits in g35s from 03-06; you should know what am I am referring to.

Congrats on your ZERO SIX. We are all so proud of you. Anyway, shadow purchased the 03-04 finisher for his 03-04. That is why I showed you the pic of an 05. Do you not see the difference? The 05 finisher wouldn't work on an 03-04.

That is the 03-04 dash. A bit different than the 05-06.

Dude... Why are you being such an asshat? His install looks extremely clean.

If I were you, I would go change my screen name. I'd place good money that you are going to get ZERO HELP for your ZERO SIX in the future.

You sir, are a waste of space. Now please GTFO.

In short the idea was for there not to be distorted sound. Ultimately, the volume on the Eclipse Head Unit is not as high as from other head units. If you want a better setup, you should get a new amp (replace the crappy bose one) and get new speakers.
