Carputer Help.

hey everyone, I have not posted in a while.

I've been so busy.

Anyway I wanted to ask a question. I want to put a Carputer in my Mini Cooper and my G35. I'll build two identical ones and I want it to do the following things.

I would need recommendations with software and stuff etc.

- GPS (Of Course)
- Touchscreen VGA
- Need at least a 500GB Hard Drive for MP3's, as far as copying CDS, playing DVD's I got all of that figured out.
- Bluetooth devices. I want to be able to hook up my phone and use it through the computer. I guess I would need a Microphone than too. I guess my next question is, can you have multiple devices paired to one Bluetooth device? Like a phone, keyboard, mouse?
- Radar Jammer would be cool
- Reverse Camera
- Wireless Card (I want to be able to sync with my work computer from the parking lot to get emails, schedules, contacts throgh outlook.
- Also I have a blackberry, anyway to get text messaging through that in my car? SMS?
- Maybe a mobile broadcasting unit?

I would need at least 1 gig of ram and the correct power supply etc. Money is not an issue I have like 2 grand I can spend.

So... who's up for helping me?

Heh, thats funny.

I hope you meant 2 grand on each carputer. And even that, for what you want, is not enough.

Look at your list of specs and start paring things down, and you can get under 2 grand for a single carputer. However, with what you are askig for, 2 grand is not enouggh.

Anyways, go to www.mp3car.com/forums and check out the forums there for more info. As a start, click on the link in my sig, which will take you to my install thread on that forum.

Also, go to amthars install thread on g35driver appropriately enough in the CarPC section of the Car Audio forums here, which is where you should of put your post in the first place.

Yeah I meant 2 grand for each not total haha. I build my own PC's so I know how much things cost. I spent 3 grand on the box I'm on (Just the tower). It's a 3.0ghz Pentimum D with 4 gigs of DDR-667 and I cramed 3 hard drives into this thing 2 with ****ing zip-ties. It's not bad. Has a Gforce 6800XT and a bunch of other things.
