Single din conversion

I have a 2004 four door G35 and want to replace the deck. I know I need the new dash from japan, but what I want to do is get a single din deck. For you guys with single din, can I still retain my steering wheel controls? If so can I use any single din with steering wheel controls?

Thanks

Yes you can put a single din deck in, and yes you can still retain your steering wheel controls. The deck size has nothing to do with it. If you have a hard wired remote input, there are various decks that the PAC units work with. If not, you can use the SWI-X which communicates infrared.

So what I need to find out is if the deck I want will work with the pac units?

Yes you should go to Pac Audio. They make them for Kenwood, Alpine, Eclipse, Sony, Pioneer. Those are the main hardwired ones. Then they have a SWI-X that does infrared. Just check the deck though to see what you can do.
