You can't go wrong with either option. I have the 2 12's in a ported box. It hits very hard and I believe the 10's would sound very similar. The 1000/1 is the right amp for either setup.

also a 1000/1 JL amp should push these too well right??

2 10w6's would give you the tight bass and will sound cleaner than the 2 w7's. 2 w7's will definitely kick your ***, but like most stated, needs larger enclosure and bigger amp. All that weight will slow your G down, if that matters to you. ..... IM0... I would prefer 2 IDMax10's over the 2 choices.

Im kinda set on JLs....so im just down to choosing which subs im gonna use.

As for the speed thing...I sold my civic cuz i got tired of the whole deal of going fast and getting way too many tickets....miamis a tough town, and cops are real dicks down here. But yea, im sure that weight wont make that much of a difference, not so significant.

Thanks again guys

From what I have heard the 10w7's are tight & hit hard..if there not powered correctly or don't have the right displacement they will sound like crap like any sub not having the proper configuration. I agree they do put some weight in the trunk & thats why I spent a few extra bucks to make it modular & remove it when needed.
