Where can I find the Escort Passport 8500 X50 for the best price?

What did you guys pay and where?

 

is the escort really better than the BEL top of the line i think it is the 985? I have used the Bel for 5 years now and have only been pulled over 4 times and each one was my fault. Radio way to loud and it was really really late!

 

Bah. for me it is between the V1 and the X50 and the X50 is $100 cheaper and just as good except at laser detection.

please only post on requested topic, you didn't even give me price info.

 

I have found the ONLY place that discounts them is Best Buy and it ain't much...

 

Check ebay. I was just looking at the prices, Beltronics RX65's go for about 230 shipped. Brand new too. I just cant decide if I want one or not. Ive had good luck with cops. *knock on wood*

 

The problem is the Escort's price is regulated and fixed by the manufacturer (like the V1) so there's no deals unless you can find a "like new" one on ebay for cheap. You would probably want to shy away from places like Best Buy to avoid tax. Find a deal with free shipping.. The beltronics however have a very good quality dectector and you can find discounted at all sorts of places. It depends on how much cash you want to spend. I think all 3 brands will spot the cops soon enough for you to slow down to aviod a ticket. I've used www.etronics.com

 

I have bought two 8500 X50 Escorts on Ebay in the last year. They were both new in box. I think the "Buy it now price" was about $225 for red LED and $250 for blue LED.

I ended up using Cardomain's 105% price match against somewhere that had it for $299.95 so I paid like $304 w/shipping.

The best deals on ebay were $250+$30 shipping = $280

I decided the extra $20 was worth buying it form an authorized dealer with a 30day satisfaction gurantee and warranty

 

Sorry Bigsash, I did not check this forum for a few days. The ebay retailers I bought from "claimed" to be "new in box" (both were) and had "1yr factory warranty included", but I think you are taking some risk with anything on ebay. I was willing to take the risk for the $ savings.

yeah I already bought it from cardomain with their 105% price match. I paid $6.95 for UPS ground shipping and it made it to me the next day!

Now hopefully my mike's mount will be here today also, as USPS usually comes later in the afternoon.

best ebay deals i could find were 280 after shipping so I gave up the savings for the money back gurantee and warranty

i don't remember i think it was like $20 or $30 depending on whether it is for a X50 or V1. well worth it though. suction cups suck! no pun
