Please Help Sirius Sat Install Problem?

Ok So here's the deal. I received my Sat unit today and I recieved a tuner & antenna (and a bunch of misc stuff). So I decided to test it out. I plug in the Sat wire harness in the back, and I plug the antenna in. I go and push the sat button & nothing happens. I then get some speaker cable & cut the silver part off & use it as a ground wire. I connect the ground wire to my trunk latch & try again, nothing happens. I connect it to the metal plate that the factory amp is on; again nothing happens. I see the "earth point" in the instructions but I can't actually find that in my car. I saw some people saying that theirs came with a "metal bracket" and I see it in the instructions but I don't have it. Can someone tell me where they grounded there units to make it work? It's a late 03.

also, there were two plugs + antenna plug and I plugged in one plug + antenna, what is that other plug for??

Since pics are worth a thousand words. Here is what my install looks like. I see nothing wrong with it personally, and I have tried the ground *everywhere*. I do think however if anything could be wrong it would be with the ground. However, I had 2 pac units and neither one of those worked either (with a good ground). Both of them just blinked 6 times & went off). I think it's either the pre-wire or the radio (I'm leaning towards the radio). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this point.

Btw, I found the earth point in the car by lifting up on the black peice at the back of the trunk. Underneath it was the earth point with 2 other connections on it. Still nothing.

Your anntena should have two plugs, if not then you need the adapter to spit it into two. Look at the adapter this this picture; (ignore the antenna)
