Any Sedans with 17x9's + 275 tires?

Calculations have lead me to believe that this combo works on all 4 corners with a 35 offset, but I want to confirm with someone that has done it to make sure before I purchase. Thanks!

you need to elaborate-what exact size you are planning to use?

They would not work on the front of my car (lowered 1.2). I rub 245's from time to time if I hit a bump and my wheel is turned all the way.

Now that is on 20's so it may work for you.
I have 20x10's +43 with 275/30's on the rear and I had to roll my fenders to fit them.

This is the setup I have on my coupe, no issues except a slight rub at full compression with the wheel turned. I can't verify the sedan clearance.

What are you missing, the wheel height?

17x9 wheels with a +35 offset, with Kumho v710 275/40/17.

I currently run the 245/45/17's on 17x8's with no problems.

Thanks!

isn't 245/40/17 alot smaller than the stock size?

I am on 245/40/18 which is already smaller than the stock overall size by around 3%

Not sure where you're seeing 245/40/17. I'm running 245/45/17 and I'm looking to go wider with the 275 size. Kumho only makes the v710 275 width tire in the 275/40/17 size which is why I'm looking for a 17x9 that will work.

but do you think that the new setup that you have look overall a bit smaller than stock? cause using the tire size calculator, a 245/45/17 is still smaller than a 215/55/17 which is the stock size of 03/04 g sedans...

IMO, if I go any lower in terms of tire size, I would think it looks kind of weird.. that my fender is not being filled properly..

thanks for the clarification tho

I don't think he cares what it looks like. This is for autocross.

He's absolutely right. I have regular tires on an alternate set of wheels.

Thanks!

18x9 with a 35mm offset will not work, you'll need 30mm in order to clear the suspension in the front with a 275 wide tire.

Here's a couple of links to see a picture of 275/40-18's mounted on 18x9 42mm offset with 12mm spacers, taken from inside the front wheel well.

Notice that his picture still show's some light rubbing going on even with the 30mm offset.

Thing that worries me most about 275 in the front on a sedan has to to with how much tire will stock out of the wheel well. I'd worry about picking up stuff and damaging the paint if you get into the marbles on the track.
