March 27th FATT at Summit Point

I just signed up for the March 27th FATT. Anyone else thinking about dusting off the old G and driving her the way God meant her to be driven?

Here is the link. http://www.bsr-inc.com/

Good luck. Get ready to understeer! I ended up upgrading the suspension, sway bars, and tires after my first two events.

I suggest upgrading the brake fluid and pads before the event though...brake fade can really ruin your day.

I will probably only upgrade suspension w/ BC coils or get a set of track rims/tires this season; have an idea of which would be a better choice for a single upgrade?

Oh ****. That. was. awesome. Anyone who owns a G NEEDS to do a track day or FATT if you want to know what your car can, and was meant to do. Instructors were great, really helped on technique and on relaxing and just letting the speed come. I went from a '1', "what were you doing on that first session, going to get groceries?" (from my last instructor) to a '5' "holy ****, man, you love the speed! you really came out of your shell!" on my report card by the end of the day. let me tell you, as a performance minded street driver, I've always been thinking about lines and corners, exit speeds and shift points, all they had to do was give some recommendations on lines and confidence on traction, and it all just came out. My instructor even told me that he hadnt experienced it before, but that this G was an awesome car! He got out after my last run and looked at the tires like, what are you running on here? I actually said, I have no idea, bone, bone stock. Had the tires screamin just about the whole way around the track (except on the straights obviously), and got in a little cat and mouse on the last run with a couple decent 1 series (I passed 'em!). I only saw two other G's there, both coupes, (what's up MIKE!) one of them an instructor. I have to say that I honestly had NO IDEA what this car was capable of driving 'spiritedly' and 'slightly aggressive' on the street. NOT EVEN CLOSE. This is truly an awesome car to have the street manners it does and then track *****. With brake and suspension upgrades and perhaps some aggressive summer tires this car will be a total blast and a track sleeper.
