Jezz. I haven't gotten around to starting anything yet. I've seen a bunch of collectors at PST in Cresson. Whatever fits I'll use. I don't remember the price on them. Their rotor attachments they had there were carbon fiber and those cost big $$$.

I did take pictures of where the plumbing would run about a year back. A little cutting of the plastic on the inside of the wheel well will get cut. It looked like you could do it without cutting but you'd have to squish the tube somewhat.

I'm going to see about starting some ducting with those universals from above after my vacation. I put on some new smaller rims and it must have really cut down on the air flow because I actually boiled some old Motul 660 fuild in my brake lines. A quick bleed fixed it right up but extra air should solve the problem forever.

GWord, any update on how this project is going? I'm interested in how it comes out.

The ducts online won't fit because of the space restriction with the Stoptech brakes. However I've made up a prototype and I'm going to see if I can find someone to work with me on making something for me.

Thats got a 3" duct. Which is about all I'll be able to fit in there.

To keep it rigid I may need to go with alloy aluminum or stainless steel. Because as you can see there is no support below the lower caliper bolt.

Looks like your making progress, thanks for keeping us updated. I think this will be a winter project for me after the racing season is over.

Here's a better prototype bolted to the caliper. I'll take this piece to get fabed up.

It only took me one "No Tresspassing" sign too!

From my understanding, you'll want the airflow to go towards the center of the rotor and not directly onto the rotor surface. If you direct it right at the surface, it can lead to uneven cooling and potentially warp the rotor. Just something to look into.

Agreed. With the StopTech's on this is the only available air inlet to the rotor As you can see the opening is about a 2x3" right triangle. So I'm working with what I've been given. I've already shifted my inlet on the prototype to match the opening a little better than what I have shown in the previous pictures.

Undoubtly I'll still have some air blowing directly onto the rotor. If this starts to cause uneven wear I'll probably end up a attaching small trianglar pipe do direct the air better.

One way to find out!
