DIY: How To Install Nismo Titanium Shift Knob - Installed Pics
the rubber piece is not sold separately from shift ***** that are sold specifically for G35 / 350z.. .this does not include the GT-Rubber/ Titanium shift ***** or other "legacy" *****...
i was looking into replacing my shift **** & wondering how the heck do i get it off. it does seem like alot to do just for a shift ****. the nismo one looks great. then add the sport pedels & that would set off the interior. nice write up.....
yeah, its kinda a lot when you want to do it right
b/c you won't want to mess up your transmission shift rod.
i believe the OEM **** is super glue on from the factory -- so yes it will take quite a bit of your muscle to get the darn thing off.

Some ***** are harder to take off than others...Some you can just twist off easily and others you'll have to go through the process in this thread. As for not putting the rubber piece under the ****. If you don't it looks like ****...It might look okay in pictures, but it doesn't look clean and finished in person. I have a nismo titanium **** too and it looks better with the rubber grommet.
