Hey all, I'm having the same problem nismoto had on his install. 2 of the 4 female fittings will fit over the ball joints but i cant get the other 2 over to save me life. I don't wanna start forcing things. You gave him a good solution and I was hoping you could post it here for everyone to see.

I have the Tien Dampers...but there for the 350z someone said that they are the same. Looking at them there different from the NRG's they are flaring out from the top and going in at the base or the bottom.. it opens and closes but I have to lift it all the way and then it will stay as well as it studders as it goes up and down..like its not smooth...I got them for free and used soo im not b*itching..can anyone see if im doing it right..i read the install paper..and this is what it shouldbe....

thanks

I took the pix & write up and Randy did the install:

Got a quick install question, how come the driver side bracket says R? Thought the right side would be the passenger side?

Just put the Right on pass and Left on driver side and everything worked out as stated and mounts on lower bolt. My kit said there was new ball joints but still had to bend in order to fit. Only thing different is I bent it alot less then instructed but still worked out.

I like this kit better then the TEIN because the way it mounts on the fender is better like how the Top Secret dampeners mount. Didn't feel it was worth 340 for Top Secret either.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread but I just got these in the other day and Im gonna install them Sat. but my question is do you have to tighten these to the specs in Bythebay's video? Speedraver and Caskyline didnt mention anything about how tight these bolts have to be so Im a little curious. I personally dont have a Torque wrench so I would have to go buy one but If it only has to be tight on there then I can just do that.

^^^He didn't use a torque wrench on mine and it has been good for what 2 years now.
I've installed them on friends vehicles as well without any issues to date.

Thanks psedog I figured you needed a torque wrench as per bythabay's video. But I guess since you said that I might just tighten them as much as I think and just check them often to make sure its all good. Thanks again.

The torque wrench was just so you don't over tighten the bolts. I personally used a torque wrench because I had one but you don't need one as long as you don't crank it down too hard.
