...with that said, 2 and 7 would be the "parking light" positive-red/green which is not on the 7440(+06) harness, but i was iffy on both of these being red/green wire...maybe one is another ground? whatcha think?

pins 2 and 3 is the red/green parking light wire
I'll try this over the weekend and see if i can fabricate/rig the existing 7440(06+) plugs.

What I don't understand is, I went to Advance Discount Auto and they said I had 7440 (plastic base, wedge style) but the bulbs I pulled out of my headlights were glass base, wedge style, which from what I can tell is a 7443 style.
When I look up Chrome Amber 7443 bulbs online (since I modified my 05' housing so it has a clear turn signal lens) they all have the plastic bases, am I missing something here?

^^i think it can have either a glass or plastic base and still be the same type of bulb...i think the difference between the 7440 and 7443 is that one has a dual filament that produces two levels of lighting(parking light and a brighter one for turning)...where the other has one filament that blinks on and off. That's my best guess.

So to clarify...
7443 has a dual filament (stays on, but when you use your turn signal it gets brighter)
7440 has a single filament (only comes on when using your blinker)
Correct?

Well I'm ordering Chrome Amber bulbs, which aren't a highly available product (I don't think there are a ton of companies that make bulbs like this). I just ordered the 7443 Chrome Amber bulbs from eBay that I linked to a couple posts ago. I'll let you know how it goes.... I was so mad when I realized I had to put the headlights BACK in the car, only to remove them again later to change the stupid turn signal bulb! DAMN!

There isn't hyperblinking from the switchbacks in my experience, however if you also bought the socket from the site, keep in mind to make it work, you have to wire the GREEN wire on the socket to the ground wire. The other two wires RED and BLACK on the SOCKET will be for blinking and parking (not sure which order). But the key part is the way the switch back is made it's different in layout than the socket from the site. Testing is your friend.

So let me get this clear before I go cutting up wires on my newly purchased headlamps.
What I need to do is source a 7443 pigtail with the three wires, splice the power and ground wires into the 06 harness and then tap the extra third wire into the power wire of the city-light, correct?
I am also assuming I'll have to buy a new bulbs because I doubt the OEM bulb in my 04 lights are orange since they used an orange lense cover.
Looks like I am heading to the auto-parts store!
