No you're not crazy, you just like your G as much as the rest of us do! When closing up the house at night I always tell SLICK "Good night" as I close/lock the door on her garage. You're not the only one nuckingfuts!
Doing the JDM tail install tomorrow morning with my second cup of coffee, does anyone have a diagram on how to wire up the trunk opening button? I've searched and read this whole thread, I see the question asked but no responses....anyone?

as for the DIY wiring the trunk for us 04-05 g35 coupes i believe ppl have attempted to do it but i never seen a thread on it....

 

Just finished my JDM tail install, it does require a 8MM deep socket nothing else will work as well! Am I the only one that if you drop a nut in our G35s it's like a black hole, never to be seen again? Good thing I had back-ups, I'd a been SOL.... Me likey new tails!!

I dropped a nut and it was a pita to retrieve but I got it from the abyss.. Lol

O Hella, thanks for the DIY. BTW, did you buy the smoked trunk emblems from infiniti, or did you paint them? If you painted em, can you tell me what you used? Looks sick.

 

i bought the black chrome emblems from a g35driver forum member awhile ago. but i believe a infiniti dealership somewhere in cali or florida sells these emblems in black chrome but its like $100-$150 IIRC.

 

Thanks for the DIY.. This took 20min total since I don't have the trunk plastic. Maybe u can edit ur first post and add " tools needed." 8mm deep socket and say don't drop a nut..

Kinda always wanted the 06-07 USDM tails but these will do. Definitely makes the rear look better ..

 

So what EXACTLY is the difference between the 06 USDM and JDM tail's?
And differences between the 03-05 vs 06-07? (besides the cosmetic differences and the 3,4,5 LED's in the JDM 06+)

 

USDM lens is red. Jdm lens is red with orange blinker.. 03-05 has a smooth lens and a circle clear white reverse light. 06-07 lens has indented brake light and blinker and the reverse light is more like a rectangle and it's smoked clear.
