Painted Calipers

Hey fellas, I'm looking to paint my calipers on my Black G. Any suggestions on colors, and type of paint to use? Have you guys painted any other parts around the brakes?

Well, color is all you of course, I would personally paint them red. Duplicolor make caliper paint that I heard good reviews on. Go pick out a color, I know they sell it at R&S Straus and Pep Boys.

black or silver would be a nice look.

red has become more of a typical color now. I have the duplicolor red kit but i'm having doubts about it.

I went silver on my car. I painted everything but the pads. Did the rotor hats and edges too. Had to take the brakes off to do this. I left the caliper hose attached and just hung it and masked everything off, but all the other parts i did off the car.

Looks clean and matches my wheels

I didn't want to go red because the car is not a sports car. It's a luxury sedan, so i didn't want to call attention to stock brake caliper by painting them red. I just wanted them to look clean

Red/Yellow/Blue or any other bright color is a no-no in my book just because it isnt a BBK! Silver and black are great for stock set-ups. I'm leaning towards black just because it wont seem that dirty when it gets covered in brake dust.

My setup stays pretty clean. Brake dust washes/wipes right off. The above pic was about 2 months old.

Finally, someone with some sense! The silver looks great! MUCH better than any of these red/blue/yellow/black stock calipers people have been doing on here lately.

I haven't done the rear yet (just haven't set a weekend aside where i have time to carefully prep and paint, but i took my time on the front and am very pleased with how it came out.

Duplicolor. It's the spray can type, not brush on. There is a brush on kit as well that i've used in the past.

I prepped the hell out of it before i painted. I simple greened everything and scrubbed, then hit it with brake parts cleaner and then painted. Made it stick nice
