on picture number 10, my wires came out and I don't know where they belong now. is there a possibility that you can take a picture close up so I can see where each wire is leading? I will appreciate it very much if you could

The correct window motor reset procedure is to open the door, roll the window all the way up without engaging the auto up. Close the door, then push and hold the reset button, then roll the window down while not engaging the auto down, then release the reset button, and roll the window up while not engaging the auto up.
Another trick I found when installing the window motor is the problem of it not going up all the way. I'm not talking about when it goes up all the way and then down 6". When it just won't go up all the way at all.
To remedy this, remove the window motor from the door, keep the wires plugged in, and hold the down button for a while, definitely past a whole cycle.
Then install and reset the motor again and it should be fine.

All of the wires that go into the door lock/window control is taken out. My car was in an accident and got hit on the passenger door and cause the wires to come out. I need to know where each wire goes into the white piece
Stunt,
Well first off I have not gone back into my door to check things over since it started being intermitted with the roll up and down again. I have not taken the wire loom for the controls apart ever and of course now it it raining outside. I was hoping to check through everything today since it was my day off but no such luck. I am also having an electrical glitch that is not allowing my door to lock or unlock if it is very hot outside.(the door). If it is cool out nothing acts up.
So I am back to the drawing board when time permits.

thanks. if you have time whenever possible and do take the door panel off for the motor, can you take a few pictures of the wires that control the window up and door lock button
Well I decided on turkey day to take it apart again (finally had a chance). Went through the routines got it working again (so I thought) and reassembled.
Driving along yesterday decide to roll down the window it does not go back up. Head home tore it apart again and actually had to pull the window up by hand while powering in the up position.
Looked at advanced auto parts this morning they had the remanufactured window motors (everything is OEM) and it was 132.00 plus core charge.
They also had an online 20 percent off promo code. I figured for 103.00 I could take a chance. Still cheaper then the 280.00 the stealership wanted. So I just finished putting the door panel back on and everything is working to spec it is even doing the half inch gap routine again.
So in short my tip helps to remove and exchange and possibly milk the motor on for a short time longer. But in the end I still had to completly replace the motor. But look at it this way I essentially got almost 5 months of use out of it before it failed again.

hey obex, nice writeup.
I fixed my motor multiple times, even taking off the whole cover and cleaning and replacing the motor brush, but after 4 months, its failing again. so i am trying to replace the whole thing. would you be able to direct me to this online 20% off promo code and links to get that refurbed motor for $103?
thanks!

The 20% off promo from advanced auto parts has now changed I just checked their web site. I pulled it up from a general google search.

Do you have to hold the button for so long or what! Ive tried pushing it for 10 sec I also tried the window switch trick and still my window drops at the top 4 inches or so!

This is the correct window reset procedure. It is not how long you hold the button, it's how well you follow directions
